Goodbye?

Hi there.

Next week begins with a new class, taking away my prep hour, and leaving me to work from home. I’m honestly not sure how much time I will be able to devote to this blog from this point on, as I’m building lessons for that new class and preparing that work for a research/grant project. In addition I’ll be out of town for half of week next week, and the moment I return things really swing into motion.

Cheers, (for now)

  1. Aw, man! And I just discovered your blog! I was looking forward to the next day in a sentence so I could participate :)

    Today it would be:
I am covered in Vaseline and plaster and loving the fact that B offered to help D through the project (D was scared of putting the plaster on her face) even though B usually has nothing nice to say to D!

I’ll keep popping in, in case you find some time for blogging!

  2. Boooooooooo! I might actually have to grade the rapidly aging stack of papers during instead of reading about your struggles, triumphs, and random musings.

    Double boooooooooo!!!!!
Perhaps even a tertiary booooooo!!!!! is in order.

  3. that should have said “during my planning period,” but my phone rang and I lost my train of thought (and apparently willingness to proofread)..

    Oh, well.

  4. This is a sad day in Mudville if your blog goes empty, my good friend, but certainly understandable, given what you have going on in life.
    Life comes first, of course.
If you would like me to temporarily host the Day in a Sentence, I would gladly do that for you, and maybe find some other guest hosts to help out, too.
I’ve looked to your blog often and stolen your ideas frequently, as you have often suggested, so your absence will be felt.
    Peace in friendship,
    Kevin

  5. gonna miss your blog - you’re truly inspiring and I just love the way you share it all - as a soon to be new teacher your blog has been a great reminder of why I wanted to do this.

Hope you get some time to yourself and not just work work work.

    thank you

  6. I’ll add my ‘booooooo hooooo’ to the others - love your posts - ‘borrow’ your good ideas often (acknowledging you of course!!!)
So before you log out - A HUGE THANKS - YOUR GENEROSITY HAS BEEN APPRECIATED BY ME!!!!!

  7. Good luck and hope to hear from you soon!

  9. I do hope this is a temporary respite from blogging. I teach without a planning period, and after an adjustment period, you be fine. One trick I use is to make sure that the kids have an independent warm up to do at the beginning of each class. Those 10 - 15 mins allow me to get the last class thoughts where I need them (written down or just stashed in my head), organize any papers I’ve collected from that class, start thinking about the class that just came in and get things organized for them, and to get a few minutes to breathe. Good luck to you - I know you will handle this challenge well.

  10. Our life need water and flowers, so water filter and garden products are important for your.

  11. Hope to ’see’ you soon, my friend. And hope the new papa blogging will come back, too (he smiles).

    Cheers, Christian
